MCH Student Training for Academic Readiness and Success (MCH-STARS):

A rare mentoring opportunity for MCH students. And it is free!

MCH-STARS, a free innovative program that aims to transform students interested in Maternal and Child Health (MCH) into lifelong learners, engaged citizens and creative leaders in their local, national and global communities. We offer an online well-paced mentoring program through weekly quizzes and an opportunity to be part of an MCH community comprising faculty, practitioners and other students. You will also have a rare opportunity to be connected to world class MCH researchers, and present your work at our annual Summer Research Institute Summit. The weekly quizzes are constructed in a way to provide MCH students and other interested professionals a venue for acquiring fundamental knowledge and skills in MCH.

The format for this forum will involve the following basic steps:
  • Once you subscribe, you will receive each week via e-mail a question on a specific topic in MCH that an MCH practitioner needs to know. Usually, the question will be in a multiple choice format.
  • All you have to do is to click on the option you consider to be the right response (A, B, C or D)
  • Once you submit your response, you will be able to view the correct answer with a brief and relevant explanation.
We hope this will be a stepping stone to more advanced MCH training and mentoring in the future. Welcome on board!
